Temporary Kitchen Assistant
(Feb. 1 thru March 15)

About the Role:

Weatherlow Farms seeks a reliable & hardworking individual looking for an engaging farm experience in beautiful southcoast Massachusetts. This position will be a support role for the farm’s head chef in expanding our prepared foods business. 

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Learn to execute kitchen staples

• Vegetable preparation

• Meat preparation (picking, boning, grinding)

• Starting and straining stocks

• Packaging & labeling

• Dishwashing

• Kitchen cleaning

Qualifications:

• 2+ previous kitchen experience

• ServSafe

• Driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

• Attention to detail & strong organizational skills

• Enthusiasm for working on a farm and promoting local products 

• Love of good food and beautiful flowers

• Self-starter with a serious work ethic, ability to work independently

Compensation:

Starting @ $18/hr. 

Hours:

• 20-30 hours weekly

• Mon-Fri, Daytime shifts

• Potential for additional hours or permanent employment

Weatherlow Farms raises the highest quality grass-fed beef, lamb, chevon, pastured pork and poultry in the seaside town of Westport, MA.  We grow a curated selection of flowers and foliage for weddings and special events. All is cared for employing environmentally sustainable and socially responsible practices which focus on the special relationship between land, animal and food. We host farm events throughout the year, including farm-to-table dinners, workshops, weddings, as well as private dinners and cocktail parties.
